EN/ Aurélien David was born in 1983 in Picardy, France. He is based in Nantes and on his sailboat-studio abroad. After studying ethnology and training at the ICART photography school in Paris, he developed a chlorophyll-filled universe, questioning the relationships between humans and non-humans. He exhibits regularly in France and abroad, and with his BeLeaf series, he won third prize at the Arles Expo festival in 2022. He has exhibited at La Compagnie creative centre (Marseille), the botanical gardens of Nantes, Rouen and La Rochelle, the L’Angle gallery (Hendaye), and the La Quinzaine photographique Nantaise (QPN) festival, among others.

Après des études d’ethnologie et une formation à l’école de photographie ICART à Paris, il développe un univers chlorophyllien, questionnant les relations entre humains et non-humains. Il expose régulièrement en France et à l’étranger et avec sa série BeLeaf, il remporte le troisième prix du festival Arles Expo en 2022. Il a exposé entre autres, au centre de création La Compagnie (Marseille), aux jardins botaniques de Nantes, Rouen et La Rochelle, à la galerie L’Angle (Hendaye), ainsi qu’au festival La Quinzaine photographique Nantaise (QPN).
