Aurélien David est né en 1983 en Picardie, il vit et travaille à Nantes. Après une formation en ethnologie et à l’école ICART Photo Paris, il développe au fil
de ses voyages en voilier une écriture chlorophyllienne, mixant les techniques pour produire une esthétique relationnelle du vivant. Il a exposé entre autres, à La Compagnie à Marseille, au Jardin des Plantes de Nantes, à Fotofever Paris et à la galerie L’Angle (Hendaye). Il remporte avec sa série BeLeaf, le 3ème prix du festival Arles Expo le Off 2022 placé sous la présidence d’Olivier Föllmi. Il est membre du collectif Serres et il est représenté par la galerie L’Angle Photographies.
Aurélien David was born in 1983 in Picardy, France. He lives and works in Nantes. After training in ethnology and at the ICART Photo school in Paris, he developed a chlorophyll-based style during his sailing trips, mixing techniques to produce a relational aesthetic of the living. He has exhibited at La Compagnie (Marseille), the Botanical garden in Nantes, at Fotofever Paris and at the L’Angle gallery (Hendaye). With his series BeLeaf, he won the 3rd prize of the Arles Expo festival 2022 under the presidency of Olivier Föllmi. He is a member of the Serres collective and is represented by the L’Angle Photographies gallery.
